Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the schools were closed for almost the entire academic year 2019/2020 and now again 2021/2022, the gaps in achievement among children from different socioeconomic and demographic backgrounds are an enduring trend in education, especially BAME children who are KS3-KS4 have suffered a lot, most of these pupils use to receive after school supplementary classes from our charity and since March 2020 they haven’t had any support. Research suggests that BAME and immigrant children underachieve in school compared to their white peers. Worse yet, COVID 19 has widened the achievement gap especially access and knowledge of technology.

The project will support KS3/KS4 children year 10 and 11 whose pandemic had an impact on their education and will concentrate mainly BAME in North London. We will introduce virtual after school classes and support those pupils with their school homework, and provide extra support for English, Science and Math, the project will allocate 6 hours a week and will assist low-income families and provide them with basic laptops to access virtual supplementary classes.
